September 14, 2020 - This rich and nuanced Cabernet is drinking well right now, with incredibly layered fruit and a savory undertone that makes it all work. Garnet color, medium in body, aromas of black cherry, eucalyptus, baking spices, and mint. Flavors of blueberry, menthol, espresso bean, and bay leaf, with an integrated but dour, almost meaty finish (read: not much acidity or lift) - a bumpy landing for an otherwise exceptional wine. 14.5% alcohol. Decant at least two hours.

September 3, 2020 - Lots of menthol and eucalyptus on the nose with licorice and chocolate. This is a brute and nowhere near ready. Tannins are still pretty harsh. There is reason to believe this may eventually come into balance, though, as there is underlying freshness and acidity. Lots of blueberries mixed with blackberries. Give it another 10 years for the next bottle and it may well warrant a higher score.

January 2, 2020 - Fantastic bottle of wine that really overdoes Italian food. Still this dark brooding wine was spectacular to drink with pasta and appetizers! Tannins have loosened a. It and this was great to experience on a perfect night on vacation!

January 10, 2018 - Winorama: A winter in Wineland II; 1/6/2018-1/14/2018 (Portland, Eureka, Napa): Tasted at the winery from a 375. Another one of my favorites. This is really pretty. Lots of blueberry and ripe darker fruits and hints of pine and resin. Strong tannins which finish just a touch gritty, but it's in a good way. This is a powerful and elegant wine at the same time. Really great.

March 21, 2015 - Decanted for 2 hrs and drank, good finish , black fruit and lots of it. Seemed a little restrained maybe needed more decant time ?
