  May 21, 2021 - Friday Night Double Blind Semi-Mondo $80+ (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Dark core with maroon rim; truffle, meaty cherry, the nose is really blowing, in a good spot, sandalwood, cedar and mint, slightly modern, brooding but softening a bit; still structured, sanguine, glycerin, higher alcohol, some stewed fruit, clove which gives a little numbing sensation, tanned leather, big wine, liqueured; needs a steak, more of a Gaja signature than Brunello, a great wine but my #3 tonight.

  April 24, 2021 - Decanted 2 hours. Evoled over the 3 hour the first night. Night in the bridge. Second day strong performance. Dark black'ish color with dark brown'ish edge. Dark berries, fruit, spice on the nose and palate, tannins, good balance, long finish. So nice.

  October 5, 2020 - This was great tonight. Rich fruit, nice structure with well integrated tannins but plenty of life ahead. Seems like it’s at the beginning of its peak drinking window.
