July 30, 2022 - PNP. What a difference a decade can make! PNP. Cork perfect. Color garnet w bricking edges. Nose has dark cherry framed by oak with some rhubarb and spice. Swishing shows acid alcohol and tannin. Finish is still tingly from the tannin and alcohol, but this is more pleasant than I call from last time. Sipping shows youthful fruit and aforementioned structure in better balance. Great with red meat tonight. Would serve with something hearty for sure

July 2, 2020 - The colour of the wine not really showing it's age. Quite a robust bouquet for a pinot. Appealing pinot flavours and more youthful than I was expecting.

December 1, 2018 - Color is violet red with almost no bricking. No raisins or VA. This is in very good shape for it's age. Very red in notes, cranberry, cherry, and even raspberry. Baking spices, cinnamon and nutmeg. Leaner than other reviews mention but it may be the age. It is silky smooth on the palate. Ripe and concentrated but not too rich. A bit Burgundian in texture and new world in flavors. Medium acidity and mid-length finish. Not exactly my type of pinot but very, very enjoyable.

December 9, 2015 - Ripe, with some pronounced raisin characters and some VA on the nose. Was hoping for better.

July 1, 2014 - Deep reddish-purple ruby in color with ever so slight clearing at the edges. Forward, attractive, complex, well focused & defined nose of rich, ripe varietal fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & dark plums with cherry cola overtones, floral notes of violets & lavender, earthy, spices notes of cinnamon, nutmeg & cloves, earthy, dried herbs, cocoa and a touch of vanilla. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced, viscous, plush, intense, rich, dense, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, sweet strawberries & tart cranberries with exotic sweet spices, dried herbs, earthy, dark cocoa, cherry cola, minerals and a bit of vanilla. Long lingering smooth & polished finish. Drinks quite well at present and although it may last a bit longer, I suspect any further development will be limited.

March 26, 2013 - Fruity but more mellow than a typical Rosemary's almost in the Rincon style, a bit tanic with a little effervescence. The color was dark purple. The wine did not have a real long finish. Nonetheless still a nice Talley wine.

May 5, 2012 - Popped and poured. Seemed like it needed some air so decanted. Color dark garnet with crimson edges. Like the sister rincon this is overripe and huge. Nose smells like a zin with baking spice then with air some dill? On palate this has intense fruit with an obvious dash of oak at the end. Certainly not a subtle wine. That said the overripe fruit is balanced with acid and tannin and the finish is pleasant and med length. Will wait a number of years to try again and hope for the best. Doubt that this will ever be "subtle"

October 29, 2011 - Excellent pinot. Could have fooled people into thinking they were drinking a good Burgundy. Still very alive. Good bright fruit. Great nose.
