August 2, 2018 - Reaching the end of it’s tastiness but still good. Wouldn’t hold much longer.
December 9, 2015 - A massive wine with layers of bright red fruit that is on boldly on display, followed by spice and licorice with a medium-long finish. Not your typical Grenache.
April 10, 2015 - Dark ruby, garnet with med-heavy viscosity in the glass. Rich nose of black cherry, plum, bramble, pepper, BBQ and smoldering cedar. Med-full body, rich and earthy with black cherry, blueberry, raspberry cobbler, pepper, toast, coffee and singed mint on the palate. Striking quality and balance with mild complexity. Med-long finish.
March 1, 2014 - Bright fruit mixed with dusty tannins
January 23, 2014 - A juicy explosion of fruit, perhaps just a touch over the top for me tonight.
June 14, 2012 - Decant for a hour. You will be rewarded with a smooth big Grenache! Excellent and balanced.
February 12, 2012 - A nice but not overly outstanding Grenache. The 2008 was better because it had more spice and complexity.
September 15, 2011 - (Tasted in a flight with 2009 Denner Grenache, 2009 Denner Ditch Digger, 2008 Denner Dirt Worshipper and 2008 Denner Mother of Exiles) Lovely! The 2009 Denner Grenache is the very true 'New World' Grenache experience. A massive and very expressive attack of red mature fruits combined with blueberries hit the nose combined with a subtle herbal tone and Christmas spice. The palate shows a great deal of balance, despite a fruit forwardness. Tannins are nicely integrated but a bit young and edgy. The overall impression is a nicely crafted effort, with no sense of heat, drinking perfectly right now. It will likely last for many years to come. (score is 91-92)
August 13, 2011 - Great light quality
July 5, 2011 - Very enjoyable, could use more time but still very approachable now with nice fruit and less spice than expected.
