November 11, 2019 - Hot damn was this good. Big and rich with definite aged notes (but not oxidized at all) and zero heat or oak bitterness. Not a ton of acidity but manages not to be flabby at all. Just great.

July 28, 2019 - Pop and poured. Golden hue. Prominent reductive notes that somewhat mask the nose. On the palate mandarin orange, tropical notes (unripe guava?), honey, more matchstick, hints of sesame, and a salty and lightly buttery finish that gained with time. Fruit elements almost riesling like. Quite acidic but somewhat creamy in mouth feel. Long.

July 9, 2019 - Same bottle as 3DAYWINEREVIEW and ROCKNROLLER, and similar experience. Rhys chardonnay really shines with some age.

July 6, 2019 - Fourth of July Weekend (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light gold color. 2 oz pour. Great bottle, pineapple, lemon, tangerine, tropical edge, caramelized sugar, lightly toasted oak. The palate is quite lively, very lemony, Meyer lemon and tangerine, lime, good minerality and acids, clean and fresh with a dusting of toasted French oak on the saline infused finish. Excellent. 93 to 93+pts.

July 6, 2019 - Mixed Bag at Kevin's (Minneapolis, MN): Now we are talking. Excellent Chardonnay. Oak, apple, wafer, spices and stone fruits. Complex and multilayered wine. Medium to long finish. This is how I like my domestic Chardonnay to taste. 93+ Should have another five plus years of enjoyment.

(Rhys Chardonnay Alpine Vineyard) Pre-release (bottled 5 weeks prior) - light medium golden yellow color; intriguing, saline, slightly earthy, tart lemon, powdery, lemon oil and rocks nose with a sense of green herb; tasty, stunning, minerally, rich but tart and poised lemon, quince, tart green apple palate, reminiscent of a Raveneau Chablis, needs 2-3 years; long finish
