May 15, 2020 - Held up well over two days with a vacuum. Well balanced - dark berries on the nose, oak and coffee hints. Palate is long and drawn out, very satisfying- integrated with subtle spice notes, some berry, leather and plum. Solid finish!
December 29, 2018 - Excellent cab. Needed to de ant due a lot of sediment. Drinking great fight now.

August 1, 2015 - Good black fruit - dusty tannins. Has lost fruit from cellaring
May 30, 2015 - Drank at Joanie's - only cab Nikki cared for. Great balance, not overly oaked, and good black fruit finish. Slight vanilla
February 13, 2014 - Exactly what I think when someone says Sonoma Cab. Medium dark garnet color, extended legs. Nose of fresh raspberries and blackberries picked on a summer day, pipe tobacco, five spice, bay leaf, woody character like cinnamon stick. A bit astringent on the taste, alcohol and tannins still raw, but perhaps another year or two in bottle will mellow. Tasty, balanced, specific of place. Just lacking nuances of more elevated wines.
April 15, 2012 - Decanted for 30 minutes before drinking. Nose was muted and never opened up, even as the evening progressed. will leave the other bottles in the cellar for a while.
March 10, 2012 - Well knit together, still a firm tannin understructure. As always a long finish, very smooth middle body with some astringentcy. As it opens up it becomes almost jammy but with punch. This could lay down another year or so but I don't think I have the disipline.
January 14, 2012 - Tight and muted on first opening, this screams for a significant decant, but nonetheless has a wonderful velvety balance. Classic Cabernet that is drinks nicely once open ... a few years in the bottle will reward those who are patient.
April 27, 2011 - May well be too young, even for an easy-drinker like this. Tastes of Cabernet, but only a little. The rest is “Ty's flavour” and the experience of a Ty-style wine and his acid zing. might open up in a couple of years to something more.
