May 17, 2014 - Consistent with previous review. Mild fruit, moderate tannins balance well in this bargain.

July 15, 2013 - Am really impressed at how good this is - feels more like a$30 Rhone. Sumptuous, earthy and racy.

May 31, 2013 - Nose pleasant, good balance of fruit and earthy aroma. Opens with a pop, bit hot, nice legs. Burst of cinnamon with berry sweetness. Wood pencil shavings. Another year and this may surprise at 92.

April 25, 2013 - Nothing special but reasonably priced for a Tuesday night bottle. Not much change between day 1 and day 2. Meh.

November 12, 2012 - purple color, bright cherry acidity - smoky, rich taste with mild tannins and a medium finish.

July 2, 2012 - Blind Tasting 2009 & 2010 Cotes du Rhone (Rich & Peggy's House, Los Altos, CA): Dark red cherries on the nose, a touch sweet. Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. Black cherry fruit and baking spice. Moderate tannins make this a bit rustic but it's still very nice. (my 2nd, group's 1st)

May 9, 2012 - wild herbs and violets on the nose, this leans in with strawberry flavors, raspberry and plum through the mid-palate, silky mouth-feel, softer than previous vintages, finishes dry, overall a very tight CdR that should open up nicely in a year or two, a delicious CdR in my opinion

February 22, 2012 - Pegau and Le Cailloux together at last. And my stuffed up nose is not giving me a chance on this one. Big red fruited stuff, with some structure, and its all there I guess. Need to go back.
