    April 10, 2014 - Mailly like to make the occasional exception, just as they like to make the (more than) occasional exceptional wine. This is 50% Pinot Noir from the village of Mailly…so far, so normal, but also 50% Chardonnay from Avize, the Grand Cru village in the Côte de Blancs. The Chardonnay adds buttery hazelnut richness to the more usual biscuit and savoury descriptors associated with this house.
