November 10, 2023 - Not a bad wine, but nothing special. It's medium bodied and simple in complexity. I'm not sure how to describe the flavors other than pineapple, apple, and a bit of nuttiness. The acidity is zesty. It's a good bottle for a cooking wine.

February 16, 2023 - A reasonable inexpensive white wine. Notes of pear, but somewhat musty. 2.75 Stars.

December 21, 2022 - I can't rate this as I could not get past the nose of Pine Sol. It reminded me of my fraternity Sunday post-party clean-up days.

October 18, 2022 - This is yet another style of wine I have never tried- Retsina from Greece. This one is pale lemon colored and has a very unique set of aromas. Resin, pear drop, wet wood, lemon verbena and dare I say it....vomit? The palate is bone dry with high acidity and a light body. The flavors are also very unique, starting with that resinous note along with freshly sawed green wood, lemon, pine needles and green pear. The finish is short to medium in length and tart. An interesting wine, probably not something I will rush out to replenish but it was worth the try. I can't score this $11 offering at this point but you should really get one for yourself. I am pairing it with tacos, the spices will do well with the dryness and acidity of this unique wine.

January 19, 2022 - Pale yellow in colour. Nose of lemon, green apple, rosemary, asparagus and pine. Lemon, rosemary, minerals, green apple and lime on the palate. Dry and medium-light bodied with medium-plus acidity. Medium, crisp, herbaceous and somewhat oily finish.

    Blend of Roditis and Savatiano

April 29, 2021 - My first retsina. No real taste to it except the subtle pine taste. Fail.

August 12, 2020 - Bright pale straw. Nose is kinda shy, but then asserts with a bit of Viognier-like “stank” over yellow, non-tropical fruit. Palate is medium light with an earthy, lemony core and a dirty, woodsy finish. That plus the medium acidity makes for a wine that definitely calls out for complex food flavors. My dolmades seemed made for this. Not as frightening as I’d been led to believe, but this was called a “modern interpretation” of Retsina in the notes so there’s that. A wine to accompany those wildly complex Greek and Mediterranean flavors. Olives, grape leaves, tzatziki, dates, feta, and the like — taken together — will find a simpatico companion here. Pair with old Greek men. Drink now.

March 22, 2020 - I wasn’t sure what to expect in a retsina but know I know. Very unique with the Aleppo pine tree sap added. This wine isn’t for me. However it was better on its own than paired with food.

April 21, 2019 - What FIFISODA said. Tastes like dirt. Last place of four retsinas.
