December 29, 2020 - We drank this wine past its "drink by date". After going through an aerator, it was very nice. Much better than the 88.7 community score.

May 9, 2020 - Again - whomever is setting the drinking windows for Pinots needs to reassess. This was lovely at 12 years old. Smooth, fruity, everything a California Pinot should be. I loved it.

April 11, 2019 - Decanted for 1 hour pre dinner. Dark fruit nose, structured tannins and smoky, with a pleasant fruit finish. After 2 hours, opened up and eased the smokiness

September 26, 2018 - Shows its age with nothing opaque and a broader outer band of lighter red at the edge in the glass, but still continuing to drink flawlessly at 10 years old. Superb balance of fruit, acid, and tannin. Captures the elegance and deliciousness that makes Pinot Noir so famous. Excellent with a host of foods, partly because it melds with and complements the food flavors rather than overwhelming them. Overall, Etude's affordable Pinot Noir, that is reliably excellent, enjoyable young, and dependably improves with age for at least a decade.
