March 15, 2020 - Last of the mohicans so to speak. Starting to get mellow, rounder, and less tannic. Still packs a punch, but a little softer as time has gone by. Very enjoyable. If cellared properly, drink now - 3/4 years or so? Yum.

July 26, 2015 - Phenomenal WA syrah. Tremendous nose, blk fruits, structure, acid, oak, and palate. Nicely integrated and still has many years ahead of its life. Well done!

September 21, 2012 - Nose: Blackfruit, Vanilla and earthy
Palate: med- body initially strong alcohol but the settle, intense Licorice flavors with notes of Vanilla and spices-pepper, light back fruit
Fished: initially was kind of short but it open and became longer and nice finished

August 28, 2012 - Co-fermented with 6% viognier; opened to breath for about an hour, served with brautwurst. Deep purple in the glass, scents of pepper and blackberry, rich and tasty, nicely balanced in the mouth, rich and tasty; still, it somehow did not make the same impression on me when I had previously tasted at the winery. 4+12+15+7+=88

June 11, 2011 - A friend and I tasted this at the winery on 6/11/11. It had a wonderful fragrant bouquet of floral, plum, blackberry, blueberry and charcoal aromas. The palate was rich, smooth and tasty with flavors of plum, blackberry, burnt toast, blueberry and spice.
