December 11, 2020 - Excellent wine with or without food
February 3, 2020 - Gets better as it breathes. Initially leather and tobacco that dissipates the longer it's open, then the dark berry fruit started to show up!
May 14, 2018 - Opened it and let it breathe for 3 hrs. Very nice sipper.
March 10, 2018 - This is starting to come around. Maybe still a little dumb phase yet, but I think this is going to fantastic. No notes on this bottle since I have 8 more bottles to age!
July 17, 2017 - Initially it was a nose full of bramble and a ton of limestone and tannin on the palate. Wow. With more air the fruit started to take a back seat to the cocoa and earth notes. Finish remained long. We'll see how this is a day or two later.
Day 2, this has totally integrated. Tannins and chalkiness are still there, but balanced by fruit and earth. The cocoa note that was so strong yesterday (although maybe food-induced) was largely absent. Delicious.
September 22, 2015 - Very good. Plummy, figs, dense. Still a lot of structure for an 08

April 22, 2015 - This was tasting quite good. I did a double decant ... quite a bit of sediment. Dark and broodish in the glass, it was ready to stain the teeth! Dark fruit (plums, blackberries, black cherries, etc.) on the nose and palate, with a nice amount of tannins ... not too dry. Very enjoyable.
March 21, 2015 - Chewy, tannic. Pretty faint blueberries. Wait on the remaining bottles a couple of years.
March 9, 2014 - Dark glass-clinging red purple in the glass. Almost black in a drinking pour. Shy nose of ash and blue blackberry. On the palate echoed with good acidity and firm tannins. Very nice now and should satisfy until at least 2023.
