June 14, 2023 - Clear, brick color. Beautiful nose of rose petal, cherry, and glycerol. Taste is mostly red fruit with a bit of tar. Silky tannins provide backbone. Four hour decant and served with pasta. Traditional barbaresco

December 2, 2021 - Very rich almost port-like nose, very balsamic.
Rich ripe and full on the palate.
Ripe finish with lively acidity and chunky tannins but all in balance.
Overall this is super-ripe and not especially expressive but well-balanced.

September 5, 2019 - Acker 2019/09; 9/5/2019-9/7/2019 (Le Bernardin Prive, Marea): 7109/7300. Deep, sweet, and musky. Clean and spicy. 92

August 1, 2019 - Nose: The nose is savory, inviting, and all together alluring with a more feminine take to it. The aromas of violets, strawberries, truffles, red cherries, licorice, earth tones, berries, and roses meld together with excellent depth and class.

Taste: Medium+ bodied with high acidity and high tannins. The feel is refined and regal with red cherries, licorice, strawberries, violets, earth tones, raspberries, pie tobacco, and potpourri. There is a slight astringency to the tannins though the acidity is well integrated.

Overall: This is still at a nascent stage in its drinking life. While this will never be a powerhouse, it has an alluring and savory quality that is hard to resist. This has put on some weight since I last had it and if it can add just a bit more density, it has the room to grow into a gorgeous Barbaresco.

June 29, 2019 - A nose of liquorice. On the palate, some red fruit, liquorice, spices, menthol and dried fruit on the black palate. Quite elegant and lean (if that makes sense) - I'll drink it anytime.
