February 23, 2022 - Wow. What a wine. The nose is lovely flowers, herbs, stone. After some time, the iron and blood. Feminine and masculine at same time. One of the best Syrah u can find.
January 25, 2022 - Consistent with previous tasting note.
January 2, 2021 - Open this full throttle mature Syrah a few hours before drinking. Delicious with New Years day pork roast. Rich and concentrated dark fruits. Still has significant background tannin. Last sip of the evening was the best. Expect this will be drinking well for 5-10+ years.
December 26, 2020 - Still not showing full potential. Needs more cellaring.
December 2, 2020 - Much better as a nature wine than it was as a young wine
May 2, 2020 - Needed a bit of air to show its best. Well balanced.
November 11, 2019 - A bit of a let down overall I'm sad to say. A beautiful nose of dark cherries and a whiff of chocolate - palate did not live up to its promise. A little thin, a little short.
May 29, 2019 - PNP and served 30 minutes later with Ribs.
Black in the glass. Mesquite, blackberry and iron on the nose. On palate, similar flavor profile with medium+ body, high acidity, medium tannins and very long finish. Last tasted in 2014 and this has improved nicely. 92-93 range.
May 28, 2019 - Full bodied ripe well balanced Syrah
February 2, 2019 - A bit less bold than I remember. More subtle. Needed a good 30-45 minutes to open up.
