December 23, 2022 - The wine looks tawny colored. The legs are medium. It smells like dust, mineral and cedar. It tastes like forest floor. The body is full. The wine has fleshy texture. The wine has low acidity.

December 31, 2021 - Opened up after about a half hour for NYE Dinner with various meats and cheeses. Delightful mature Brunello with a couple of years left.

August 29, 2021 - The wine looks brick colored. It smells like dust, light toast, bark and forest floor. It tastes like medium toast and stoniness. The body is medium/full. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

A truly special wine. The perfect Brunello reflection

September 23, 2017 - Nice colour, after two hour decant, had a nice typical Brunello nose, but as noted below, needs lots of air. It was great at about hour three, with lasagna. I'd open this the day before at this point. Nice wine though.

  • Curton Likes this wine: 90 points

April 29, 2017 - Needs lot of air. Starting tight and alcoholic but softens up. Very concentrated with still brisk tannins.
