Community Tasting Notes 64

  • Fractalage Likes this wine:

    March 10, 2024 - Slow-oxed for 30 hours.

The sediment recoiled and the juice had cleared enough for a full 6oz glass.

Nose of plastic, meats, muted garden berries.

Palate of plastic, big and rich fruits, meats, energy, tart, stars, very much delish.

    Paired with lamb chop:
Changed it considerably, made it richer, made it dusty with cured meats and fresh raspberries with length. Not the best Cornas, but very delicious.

  • Fractalage Likes this wine:

    March 9, 2024 - Lots of sediment.
Smoke started to show up very quickly. Could only decant half the bottle.

Muted nose, like this is in a shut down phase.
Some plastics, some raspberries, stones, dust.

Palate was very soft, and had disjointed flavors. I think this needed some more rest. Elegant and dusty with licorice and raspberries with rocks and lots of meats, roasted meats. The soft texture indicated a good storage and ready to drink. I shoulda let this rest another month upright.

August 13, 2023 - Drank over three days and as so often; best on day 3. Beautiful dark berries and herbs and spices, minerals, some lovely rustic flavors and firm, fresh acidity and tannin. Pity this was my last bottle because the wine is still improving.
