August 4, 2017 - Rustic, beef broth, crimson colored, faded fruit, not very appealing.

March 31, 2014 - Best bottle yet. 2009s have been drinking great lately and this is no exception. The vintage seems to have shed the very ripe fruit and gained a lot elegance over the past 6 months and it has certainly benefited this wine. Elegant cherry fruit, a nice herbal component - showing much more secondary than I would expect at the age of 5. Very tasty!

February 9, 2014 - Monthly Tasting Group: Cote de Beaune (The Lynn on Bryant, Mpls, MN): Dark red color. PNP, drank 1 glass over 60 minutes. This was quite floral with nice fruit, raspberry and dark cherries, good minerality, nice texture, tannins are a bit firm now, medium plus finish. 90+(+)pts. .

November 15, 2013 - I somehow ended up opening another bottle of this in its early age - good news is that it is still open for business and quite satisfying as well. Showing very earthy initially and then plumping up a bit with more air and showing some purple N Rhone like fruit. Good balance and herbaceous notes make this quite interesting and satisfying - showing less primary than what one would expect. Not a classic burgundy but still very nice to my taste.
