June 7, 2014 - Brought a bottle to my friend's B-day and drank at the bar. Medium body, smooth with some earth and spice, simple and easy drinking. No depth, not for cellar.

January 4, 2014 - Easy drinking gsm, drink by 2014. Needs a little time to open up. A little spicy on the end, earthy and fruity in the middle, fairly long acid finish
The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Satin-like texture. The wine finishes Medium.

June 11, 2013 - I agree with Rob and Meg's note. Soft ripe red fruits, some black pepper, herb and minerality, decent acidity. A friendly wine to drink near term.

July 22, 2012 - Simple, typical grenache. Very fruity on the nose and palate, not complex. Somewhat dull finish, almost bitter.

March 13, 2012 - The aromatics are ripe but authentic, showing tones of strawberry and cherry supported by chalk and dried green herbs. The palate begins impressively, with explosive yet focused red berries and ripe tomato. Granite minerality arises on the mid-palate, aiding a medium finish of darker fruit and forest floor framed by ripe tannins and refreshing acidity. This wine progresses seamlessly on the palate, possessing powerful flavors while remaining medium in body. Though a bit primary, this is a nice value Gigondas for near term drinking. R&M 87
