May 8, 2021 - Brick red in color. Gentle berry bouquet with some alcohol. Light side of medium bodied earlier. Pleasant balanced palate, tannins perhaps winning out over lighter berry flavors early after opening and dark fruits dominating after 2hrs. Some earthiness, almost yeasty/prune (which accentuates with time) and i get an interesting faint hint of almond. no problem with bottle age at this point. This wine changed remarkably with time after opening, improving markedly for my taste.

December 29, 2014 - Spice, fruit and vanilla in the aroma. Lots of fruit flavor with a pleasingly tannic finish.

July 4, 2012 - Best of the evening with an informal tasting of four '09 everyday Bordeaux. Lots of fruit in the aroma, dark fruit flavor profile. Fruit and tannins in superb balance.

June 17, 2011 - I paid 25USD for this, which seemed appropriate, though not enough to get me excited. Then i see it typically sells for about 15USD--which seems like a huge bargain; i mean this is no doubt a real deal Bordeaux. Nice aromas of blackberry pie and underbrush with a key note of crushed granite. Hits the palate with good concentration, while feeling soft and exceptionally smooth. With time it really opens. Coats the palate and becomes full, but never aggressive. Just plush, gentle, and smooth. Soft tannins are enough to hide some nuance, but never enough to distract from the overall delicate, full, and beautiful presentation. Probably best enjoyed early on. Drink over the next three years. 90.
