Community Tasting Notes 11

April 17, 2014 - Very, very nice. It was quite thin when we started drinking it 1 1/2 hours after it was opened and decanted. The tycical smell of stable clearly dominated, indicating age. After 3 hours the wine was really great and pleasant. A lot of underlying flavours came through making it a very pleasant bottle of wine. It is probably around its peak but it will still drink well for 2-5 years. Not bad for a Village....

June 25, 2011 - Very closed after being just opened.

A taste and smell of sour cherry stones, but it became constantly better after some hours.

It will soften after some more years.

Will probably improve next 3-5 years. Wait another year to drink next bottle.

April 1, 2011 - Nice nose of bright cranberry, soil, mushroom and sour cherry. Palate is restrained and elegant with subtle tobacco, truffle, cranberry and cherry tones. Nice, long finish. Quite enjoyable.

February 28, 2011 - Wine in Portland (Maine) (Portland, Maine): Pop and pour - served at cellar temperature. Nose had nice cassis, tilled soil, and sois bois. Palate was showing ripe red fruit with nice minerals, and spices. Always an enjoyable village level red burg.
