February 11, 2024 - Decanted it about 1.5 hours before serving. It was outstanding! Deep, complex, good fruit, well balanced, a wonderful Bordeaux. Note this was not considered a good year and this wine only received 90 points by WA & WS and was supposed to be early drinking, consume by 2014. I strongly suggest the "experts" re-evaluate this gorgeous wine!

March 5, 2022 - Académie des Cinquante Claret Tasting (Restaurant Rijsel, Amsterdam, NL): Tasted semi-blind. Clearly Cabernet-Sauvignon dominated, gravelly warmth, apparent Saint-Julien or Pauillac terroir, firm but well integrated tannins, masculine style, good length, dry but perfumed finish. Classical. A resounding success for the vintage. Seems to be going from strength to strength.

November 11, 2021 - Excellent fill level. Decanted 3 hours. Enjoyable wine. Not outstanding, but enjoyable. Definitely past its prime, but still very good. Probably should have had this about 5-10 years ago. Drink up!

September 11, 2021 - Mid garnet to bricking rim.
A classic savoury bouquet of moist earth, undergrowth, marmite and smoked herbs opens to graphite, dried thyme and moments of black fruit. Intense. A very smooth entry with gentle acidity and supple, rounded texture, the wine shows chocolate powder and blackcurrant along with its savoury nuances. Firmer tannins give a structural frame and definition but are coated in soft chocolate and ripe fruits, with great depth of flavour and good length.
Nicely developed, it hasn't the complexity or layers of a better vintage but is graceful and very drinkable!
