April 5, 2016 - Glad I saved this one, it's holding up very well. Not a young rose but it has such a great texture.

September 7, 2014 - Past drinking window. Beautiful initial bouquet but fruit faded instantly in mouth.

February 24, 2013 - A little difficult on day one - starts of nice but ends with a biting tartness. By day two it had settled down - a nice rose. A was slightly disappointed - hoping for something to go toe-to-toe with my favorites from France.

December 19, 2012 - Depending on the light, salmon to pale orange hue. Medium-bodied, slightly effervescent, citrus, strawberry and wet stones. Perfectly balanced with a crisp finish. Juxtaposes the elegant and the refreshing. This is one of the best domestic Rose wines.

December 2, 2012 - Very pale salmon; looks like a white wine when held up to the light. Delicate flavors of pink grapefruit, strawberry, white peach, and currant, but you have to concentrate to find them. Somewhat muted and watery, especially at fridge temp, but some air and warmth help.

A pretty wine, but wimpy. Makes some French roses seem like they're from Orin Swift.

August 29, 2012 - I'll put Morgan's rose up against any domestic producer. Pulled this "old" rose out tonight to pair with spicy tuna rolls and edamame. Great pairing. Almost orange color in the glass dominated by a peach and floral nose. Peach and lemon on the palate with some grass and floral notes. Great wine for the end of summer. Note to self, buy a case of the 2012 when it is released...

August 25, 2012 - NC Cindy Tasting, August 2012 (Chateau WineKnurd): Very light in the glass, for the second wine in a row, the nose on this wine is not good. There is virtually no fruit, and almost a campfire smokiness. The palate has no fruit, either. No sweetness, no florals, no herbal notes. The only flavor left is a sort of dark minerality, but the wine is flat and not pleasant. I have a very high tolerance for TCA, but I have to believe this bottle is affected. This bottle has nothing in common with the other tasting notes posted here, and we discarded the entire bottle. I'm writing this off as flawed.

August 22, 2012 - This is great rose. Crisp and refreshing with a slight hint of sweetness. Went perfectly with grilled seafood and veggies. Should have bought more and will next time.

July 8, 2012 - A light, pale salmon color. Watermelon, strawberry, minerals, white peaches, with some earthiness and baking spices on the very nice nose. Light body with crisp acidity. Nice mineral laden, bright fruit on the palate with some spice and earth coming in on the backend. Nice length on the crisp finish. An outstanding effort.
