June 19, 2023 - Drinking very well. Meaty, plummy and peppery. Well integrated structure and wonderful mouth-feel. This was well worth the wait.

February 19, 2023 - Well this has really come into its own since my last bottle tasted ~10 years ago. Very Rhone-like with bacon fat, olive tapenade, smoked meat and dark berry notes on the nose. Energetic, plush and a bit rustic, this is drinking so well right now, with a silky mouthfeel and long floral and mineral-tinged finish. I find these vineyard designates need quite a bit of time to come together, so I suggest drinking the Sonoma/North Coast syrahs while you wait for the magic to happen.

March 5, 2021 - I'm about as big of a Bedrock fan as it gets, but I've always dug the zin-based field blend much more so than Morgan's syrah, and this bottle does not change that sentiment. Its a nice syrah that still seems almost primary, with purple fruit, bacon, and some olive.....but it just doesn't have that 'Wow Factor' that i get with the old vine heritage blends. Happy to drink this for sure, but will continue to leave the syrah for others on future Bedrock offers.

May 25, 2020 - The wine is harmonious and soft. It has not developed any significant/interesting tertiary qualities, just a tasty earthy syrah.
