December 21, 2019 - This was delicious and light on it's feet but lots of fruit still. Beautiful pairing with Duck Confit. Loved it

June 22, 2019 - Still very dark garnet in color. The nose here shows liqueur like red berry fruits, anise, baking spice, some forest floor notes, and just a whiff of game. This is definitely big, showing the 09 ripeness and while it still maintains reasonable balance, it is slightly on the flat and hot side for me. If this had a bit more freshness it would be excellent. I'd probably say to drink this soon, though it has enough fruit concentration that you could give it another 10 years and see if the heat dissipates.
