May 4, 2013 - Bright crimson color. Great nose of black cherry, red currant, pepper, sweet spices and pipe tobacco and a touch of charred oak. Similar flavors on the palate with ripe dark red fruits joined with a bit of peppery spice and some nice milk chocolate and sweet oak notes on the finish. Medium acid and tannins, smooth mouthfeel and enjoyable finish. Consistently one of my favorite merlots from California year after year.
February 8, 2013 - Decanted for 1 hour , nice pour , a very nice merlot, not great , but for the price pt. very good, served with pasta went great.
December 26, 2012 - Popped and poured , nice wine had with ham on xmas night, matched well, overall for a merlot and price point a very nice wine
July 31, 2012 - I thought this was quite good for what it was...a big oak, fruit driven Merlot. It tasted a little like caramel popcorn, drizzled with black raspberry sauce. If you are not looking for that...stay away
April 30, 2012 - Purchased at winery. Not extremely complex, but pleasant to drink. Blueberry, vanilla, and hazelnut tastes come through. Wine has a longer finish after breathing a bit.
April 28, 2011 - Not much to it. Perhaps in a "dumb" phase even though I am not much of a believer in that. Probably just an average or lifeless wine.
