December 31, 2018 - My last bottle of this and it was stellar. Some of our guests thought this was the WOTN and seems like a close call to me. It was a light to medium pale yellow color but packed finesse and elegance as well as fruit in a well balanced package. There was a little hint of grapefruit and well as a citrusy tropical melange of flavors. Also packed a bright minerally layer and a creamy, complex richness on the finish. Delicious and clearly the best bottle of this vintage I have had.

April 16, 2016 - 2001 Chardonnay Magnum Tasting (New Jersey): Light yellow with a greenish tint. Light fruity somewhat perfumed nose. On the palate there is a nice amount of grapefruit, not overpowering along with some tropical fruit notes including perhaps some guava. Soft rich mouth feel nicely aged but still lively and nowhere near past peak.

July 21, 2015 - Light gold in color. 14.1% ABV. 60% Napa County fruit and 40% Sonoma County fruit. Grapefruit, grass and other citrus fruits on the nose. Rich and racy with zingy acidity. Meyer lemon, pear, minerals and lime on the palate. Crisp and refreshing with a long finish. Always a favorite California Sauvignon Blanc. Drink in the next year or so.
