January 4, 2020 - This was the surprise of the evening and for many the red WOTN. An intense bouquet of dark fruit (cassis, blackberries), herbs and some tobacco. The tannin structure is very fine and the wine did not seem tired or unbalanced even with the rather high alcohol of 16,5%. Hard or almost impossible to get in Europe.

July 26, 2019 - This continues to be one of my favorite Washington cabs year in year out. The length and balance is amazing. Tingles my mouth for several minutes.

January 7, 2012 - Sale Wines (Farpointe Cellar): Black raspberry and black currant on the nose, with some earth and spice aromas. Rich and juicy, with dark fruit and spice on the palate, and a good earthy finish.

October 11, 2011 - A muscular cabernet with dense black fruit, charcoal and blueberries on the nose. The palate was dense but interestingly reserved for a Washington cabernet...had the blueberries and charcoal, but also had a nice freshness and minerality to it.

April 30, 2011 - Wine for Warmer Weather (Farpointe Cellar): I really liked the nose. Lots of leather and earth, with sweet red fruit around the edges, and mocha flavor wrapped around everything. Rich and juicy on the palate, it was the same flavors as the nose.

April 10, 2011 - WA Tasting Trip Day 3: Cougar Crest, Reynvaan, Woodward Canyon; 4/9/2011-4/13/2011 (Walla Walla): N Wild Strawberry, blue and black fruit, cinnamon, herb, caramel
P Blueberry, licorice, tobacco, herb, spice, more oak on this bottling
F was very long, great structure, mouthfeel, and the kicker is it was 16.5 alc and no heat noticed at all.
Nice tannin and acid as well even with a shot palate 93-94
