    July 26, 2013 - Popped and poured, but wished I had aerated/decanted. Nose of smoke, blackberry, cherry and spice. Dark fruit core with firm tannins lead to a medium length finish. Paired with pizza.

    February 9, 2013 - PNP, without food. Initial aroma was very jammy red berry, almost like a central coast Pinot, and a little hot. Later some dark berry, cedar and caramel peeked through. The taste is dark fruit, spice. Initially a nice noticeable tannin level and very well rounded, but that didn't last long. It wound up with an acidic finish, and a little hot and thin. Guess I should have drunk it faster....But very drinkable and good QPR.

    September 12, 2012 - PnP. Dense almost saturated purple with a crimson rim. Earthy plum and smoky blackberry nose. Medium weight with very little tannins. Flavours are a mute echo of the nose. A bit watery on the finish then a touch of smoke. OK
