October 27, 2018 - This was fine, though not amazing. I had them upright for three weeks. Then double decanted in the morning through a coffee filter. A bit raisiny, with some strong acidity. After a few hours drinking it got slightly better. But nothing earth shattering. Good and pleasant.

September 30, 2018 - Drinking very nicely now. When I first opened the bottle it had that "port like" quality that implied it had aged too long, but then that went away in ~1/2 hour and this turned into a wonderful wine that drank very nicely over the next 3 hours... Probably the best Conterno experience I've ever had.

March 23, 2018 - Casual Friday Dinner with Friends (Booth One - Chicago, IL): Decanted for 7 hours, then returned to the bottle for another 2 hours before serving. Nose was muddled and perhaps stewy. Palate was a bit more fresh on the back end. But this was disappointing. Perhaps a damaged bottle, or perhaps just not good.

March 19, 2016 - Argh - clearly oxidized and most likely heat damaged. I have two more bottles from the same lot and am not optimistic.
