October 14, 2016 - Smells of graphite, blueberries, vanilla, and spice.
Medium bodied and a little viscous, there is acid and a hint of alcohol up front, with blueberries, spice, and a mildly bitter woodsy note that finishes dry and mildly tannic.
I appreciate that the wine is not overly fruited, and I don't even mind a simpler wine's virtues, but the perception of alcohol just diminishes my enjoyment of this wine tonight. (85 for my point loving friends)
September 27, 2016 - Tasty blue/dark fruit, eucalyptus, tobacco, and something savory or almost meaty on the nose. Medium body and well-balanced in the mouth. Slightly round on the finish. I'm guessing this is at or near its peak.
July 11, 2016 - Drinking great. Nice merlot/cab blend. Great even without food.
March 15, 2016 - A:Clear, medium intensity, ruby color, lacking significant leg
N:clean, med -, stewed fruit, black cherry, tired
P:med-dry, acid med +, med - tannin, med etoh, med body, intensity med-, spices and tobacco, lacking fruit, short finish

March 6, 2014 - Very nice wine typical Waters. Spicy yet mellow mix of cab & merlot. Dark fruit with a very smooth finish.
March 1, 2014 - Not what we were wanting. Kind of sad that we have two more bottles. Very weird on the mid-palette. Not what I have come to expect from Waters. Menthol with a strange acerbic note... and lots of flat fruit.
September 20, 2013 - Nice nose; Good rich fruit profile but a bit generic
April 22, 2013 - Pretty unremarkable, but not bad by any stretch. It was mono-dimensional WA red dominated by muddled fruit. Low Acidity, lean structure.
April 20, 2013 - Nice wine and good QPR. Opens up after 20 minutes or so to reveal dark fruits, smokiness, and smooth finish.
January 26, 2013 - Great nose. Liked it right from the bottle.
