March 8, 2024 - At peak. Nice balance of plum, blackberry, leather, and oak. Just enough structure to get by. Long finish.

August 31, 2023 - All Saints at All Saints (All Saints, Mpls, MN): Dar red color. PNP, drank a glass over an hour. Earthy, blackberry, deep nose, dark fruits, tar and creosote. The palate is medium ful lbodied, lifted, nice purity to the the fruit, blackberry, black raspberroes, creosote, cured meat, round tannins and nice length with a very satiny texture.

May 21, 2023 - Popped and poured. This is drinking really well. Black cherry and currant, roast meat, licorice and earth. Full bodied. Time has tamed any exuberance and this is nicely balanced and drinking really well.

April 23, 2023 - Decanted for sediment. Medium garnet color. Definitely preferred where this wine was a few years ago. Nose of dried black olives in the sun along with some dark plum and hint of raisin. A hint of black licorice as well. Similar flavors on the palate with a concentrated olive flavor that was quite noticeable. Medium acidity, tannins fully resolved. Felt slightly soft on the mouthfeel. Did not love how this showed and I would drink up if holding any unless my bottle was particularly advanced.

March 7, 2023 - Popped and poured. Outstanding right out of the gate; can't wait til it gets a bit of air. Still quite opaque, with just a bit of browning. Totally open for business, with dense aromas of brawny fruit; woodsy, mushroom, soy, and smoky meat. A true joy to behold. Perhaps even more impressive in the mouth, with very ripe, rich, round, smoky fruit and gorgeous briary notes. Fabulous at age 14 with plenty left in the tank, though I think it is on the far end of its plateau. 5-13-18-8: 94/100.
