September 14, 2017 - Drink up. This is fading fast from my last tasting of it in November, 2016.

Medium ruby with defined bricking at the edges, this wine showed blackberry, vanilla and anise on the nose. The mouth feel is medium bodied with more dark fruits as well as cola undertones. The finish is short with the acidity lacking. 14.4% abv.

Purchased upon release at $$50US, this was the last of many bottles I purchased and enjoyed over the years. This last one, stored in my climate controlled cellar, was tired and at its end.

November 6, 2016 - Medium ruby with slight bricking at the edges, this wine revealed blackberry, cola and anise on the nose. The mouth feel is full bodied with more dark fruits as well as vanilla undertones. The finish is medium length but revealed noticeable burn from the alcohol.

Tasted at a special Le Cadeau wine dinner in Wilmington, DE with Tom Mortimer, this wine is drinking well now with plenty of life left. The unwanted heat appears to be a result of the crispy suckling goat it was paired with.

January 9, 2015 - The Cote Est is a great vineyard and the new wine maker Steve Ryan did a great job on this.

Medium clarity and the color is more of a beautiful plum/violate hue. Soft nose of red cherry, mushrooms and wet earth. The aroma is well organized, soft and I could swirl and sniff this all night long.

Soft mouth feel with bright cherry and the earthy moss of most Oregon vineyards. Well integrated and the cherry plays well with the organic elements of this wine. A great showing and looking forward to enjoying this over the next few years.

    November 17, 2014 - Decanted 1hr, served around 62F.

Great bottle, still with several years of life it seems. Dark cherries, mushrooms, and a hint of nutmeg.
