April 24, 2019 - Wines from Nuits St. George are known to need time, but on night one it didn't seem to me that this bottling had significant further development ahead of it. It was subtle and light, with a finish that seemed to drop away quickly, only to then resurface a moment later with a mouthcoating intensity. After a night in half bottle, though, it changed dramatically. It's immediately deeper and fleshier. Nose is floral with dried herbs. Acidity is very good. Earth and cedar and a slightly meaty edge bubble up on the palate. Cherry lingers on the long finish. Based on the evolution here, this beauty can sail on for some time yet.

June 28, 2016 - Tuesday Night Double Blind Tasting, $40 and under (Bin 75): Lighter, bright, almost candy. Burgundy, but seems youthful. Went south, guessed '12 Faiveley Mercurey. My #2 wine of the night.

June 26, 2015 - Small Blackberry notes, wild forest berry with a touch of lean cranberry; minerals--rock and metal, medium body, bit more substance and fruit than the C-Musigny; nice grippy tannins, med finish. Really good solid village on the leaner side, slightly rustic.

February 21, 2014 - Pop and pour into a decanter. In the glass, clear ruby red. On the nose, strong floral aromatics and a hint of crushed cherries. On the palate, a mix of cherries, currants, and some slight astringency on the finish. I'm not sure this has much evolution ahead, but it's a nice accompaniment to food right now.
