  March 18, 2008 - Very light nose comprised mostly of a dirty mushroom and sherry like smell. On the attack I get a shot of acid and sour cherry. The mid palate is disappointing because it disappears. The finish is sour cherries, in a had full of dirt. The fruit is all but gone and the sherry notes and acid is starting to dominate the flavor profile. This is a much thinner wine than I expected. Perhaps the gaping hole in the mid-palate is shaping my opinion. Overall it is not bad, it just did not have the guts to go the distance. Past its prime to be sure.

  March 31, 2001 - An easy afternoon with close friends; Pomerol (@ My place): Ruby and not extremely dark. Nice bouquet with some oak. Juicy and a lot of (little too much) acidity. Little tannin and acidity in the aftertaste. This wine is in the last quarter of its pleasant mature life.
