March 8, 2016 - Châteauneuf-du-Pape 1998 (Chez moi): Clean, quite light as it comes with age - straight forward wine with still some tannins left - drink up, though, this does not have the fruit to keep going.

September 24, 2013 - Bottle A, (hf/in); Fully mature, very good – but going nowhere but down from here. Still a very nice wine in good harmony with grenache-sweetness, garrigue, very soft tannins left. A pleasure to drink, but nothing to keep.

September 15, 2013 - Lots of wines at Tommy's Clambake (Tommy's): Light ruby and brown in color. The nose is nice with leather, and dried cherries. Complex on the palate. Tart and certainly seems past prime and on a downward trajectory. Drink up.

February 9, 2013 - Lighter and more orange in the edges than the 2010 this was tasted up against. The nose is volatile with tertiary aromas of hydrocarbons but not any fruit left at all. But the palate!!! This is a revelation! It has gained even more power and concentration over the years, but now also with finesse. Pure, ripe, sweet slightly port-ish palate. This is a dream to drink! It's my last bottle, and I'm crying inside to know this might be the last time I taste this wine.
    Rebuy; absolutely, but impossible.
