July 12, 2021 - 94pts. This is a very nice expression of its St. Joseph terroir. Quintessential Northern Rhone Syrah that does not empty one's wallet. See my notes below for more details.

July 2, 2021 - Nice clean closure although I am no fan of the wax closure. Definite garnet colour with the narrowest clear rim - no reels hint of brick. Nose of raw meat, black olive and cacao - primary and somehow visceral. Palate is quite stunning - saline savoury fruit with a real structure from the silky but imposing tannins. Long, long finish which fades into the soft black fruit coated tannins. Beautiful wine entering its optimum drinking window.

August 3, 2020 - really sexy juice. Very open intense and complex nose, black pepper, cherry, spices, blood and violet. the palate has a lot of energy, medium body and long. Very enjoyable now and should stay in this zone for a while.

ps: did not find Australian Shiraz markers such as eucalyptus, alcoholic warmth, power or stewed fruits (although I know that not all Australian shiraz taste like that)
