November 26, 2023 - Decanted for sediment. Medium garnet color. Nose of dark plum, black cherry, forest floor and some sweet baking spices. Similar flavors on the palate with a nice mix of dried red fruits with earthy, savory notes. Medium+ acidity, medium- tannin. Smooth finish. Seemed in a better place than the last bottle I had and paired very well with a minced lamb pot pie.

June 24, 2023 - Had it with homemade chicken pot pie, while I'm not a big fan of pinot noir it paired quite well

April 5, 2023 - My final bottle of the 2010 En Haut, one I had held for over a decade since I bought it from the winery. This has a touch of brown spice in the aroma, and a light crunch of cranberry supporting the palate, a note that I really found appealing. Yeah, this is En Haut, so there is red apple, there is blueberry and even some dark plum in this vintage. Juicy and drinking really well, my bet is that this is in the optimum window given the vintage.

January 1, 2022 - Drank as a side by side with a 2010 Sea Smoke Southing pinot. Much lighter in color with a slight cloudiness to it. More tart red fruit on the nose (cranberry and strawberry) with a slightly earthy, forest floor type note. No oak to be found on the nose or palate but lots of acidity coming through. Almost a slight touch of VA in fact. Drank much better with food than on its own but overall, this was a bit underwhelming given the price and we both preferred the Sea Smoke.
