  June 12, 2011 - A good Chardonnay. Lots of fruit on the nose and on the palate. For me this wine lacked the richness and butteriness that I come to expect from a Caneros Chardonnay. Given the price point this wouldn't be my first choice of Chardonnays but still good.

  Vineyard: Beckstoffer Lake Carneros: the vineyard is located in Carneros just up the road from Domaine Carneros off highway 121. Only a few hundred yards from an inlet of the San Francisco Bay, the vines are cooled by the sea breeze and fog from the bay. The cooler weather allows for a longer growing season, so we gain a more complex, rich, and layered wine.
