January 27, 2020 - Decanted >1 hour. Big red fruit with tobacco and spice. Lovely hints of “cab” in the mouth that follows the fruit and spice. In a great window right now. I wish I had more.

June 25, 2019 - Popped and poured. Nice wine, red fruit and charcoal. Stored in frig overnight, notably better on night two, opened up and smoother mouthfeel.

March 12, 2018 - Weak legs, but nice earthy nose. Dark to the edge of the glass. Full bodied with nice tannins. Short finish with lingering dark fruit flavors. A nice Bordeaux-style blend. Time to drink up now, but may last a couple more years if cellared well.

    May 7, 2016 - A hearty Bordeaux blend similar to L'Ecole's Apogee.

February 27, 2013 - Earthiness, black cherry, hints of berries....then just kind of fades on the finish and is slightly tart/acid taste that lingers.

(L’Ecole No 41 L’Erudite “The Scholar” Red Wine Walla Walla Valley) A very appealing, earthy wine full of rich, focused dark fruit flavors, toast, incense, and spice box. The palate is rich and fruit filled with tart, puckering flavors and firm, grainy tannins. A gorgeous wine. 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot. Seven Hills and Pepper Bridge vineyards. 300 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.
