  August 25, 2023 - Decanted and aerated for two hours then drank over 90 minutes. Blackish crimson color. Nose of black fruits currants, berries, sweet cassis, cigar box, pencil lead, spicy vanilla all reflected on the refined delicate medium bodied palate. Excellent complex and rich structure, great lift and acidity, depth and finishes long with sweet velvety tannins. Delicious wine. Quintessentially Lafite.

  Light oak nose. Balanced on the mid palate but some acidity in the finish that should hopefully more fully integrate over a few years?

  July 11, 2021 - Bordeaux & Pauillac at its best - for me this bottle is 100% à point !!!
  
  + Preparation : stood upwards for couple of hours and decanted for couple of hours ( it needs it ! )
  + Color : still deeply red, no signs of ageing
  + Nose : stunning, you only need one sniff to know - its gonna be fun tonight.
  Refined wood ( oak and some cedar ), licorice, dark fruits, ripe plum, jammy, fleshy
  + Taste : surprisingly, smooth as silk. It slides so well along your teeth and mouth.
  Tannins are well rounded and integrated with the acidity, both completely in balance.
  + Finish : heavenly, it lingers around for quite some time, no harshness, not a dry spell to be found.
  
  For me, believe this vintage is now peaking - drink now, but decant for about 2 Hrs.
  Pare it with a nice piece of meat and boy, you'll be in for a great night !
  
  Scoring this 98, had the finish been just a tad longer, would have given it 99-100.

  April 19, 2020 - Decanted 4 hours and I’m glad I did. Intense aromas of dry cherry, ripe blueberry, licorice, cedar and violet notes. Silky smooth on the palate with a cool wash of ripe dark fruit flavours, super fine tannin and perfect balance of acidity. Excellent purity of fruit, leading to a pleasant warm and peppery satisfying long finish.
