December 8, 2023 - Dark red, good acidity. Enticing sweetness, takes about an hour to reveal it,s complexity in flavours. Well made well balanced and easy drinking wine. Starts slow with the first glass and gets better to exceptional by the time you finish the bottle. A pleasure to drink.
November 3, 2023 - Grand Jury du Vin - Republic of Georgia; 11/1/2023-11/9/2023 (Republic of Georgia then stopover in Paris and Dijon): Wine 25 – Cabernet nose, black fruit, silky.
Afterthought – Somehow, I liked this as much as the grand vin. However, neither of them was my favorite. Coincidently, my EP score was identical.
April 28, 2023 - One hour in decanter. Silky, round, fruit and earthy notes, well balanced, lack of power, limited length. Not as impressive as earlier bottles. bottle variation?
January 16, 2023 - Tasting at Château Margaux alongside the 2006 Château Margaux. Beautiful with vibrancy and freshness. With perfume notes. Elegant and balanced with excellent structure. On the palette, gorgeously blended with numerous red fruit. Not overripe but classically structured and superb. The 2010 vintage is dynamite. To end, the palette didn’t have the floral notes as much. Still young with grippy tannins. Nonetheless, you get that Premier Grand Cru Classé high quality. 93.
January 13, 2023 - Excuisite wine, ready ro rock after 4-5 hours of double decanting and slow ox in the bottle. Best bordeaux in a long time.
September 13, 2022 - Tasted at the chateau, I’m amazed at how good a wine the 2010 Pavillon Rouge is. Fresh white flowers, cool but ripe blue, black, and red berries galore. Beautiful cool fruit in the mouth, sitting comfortably with the structure of the vintage but commensurate acid and body. Long finish. Very impressive. I am more bullish than others. 94-95
July 2, 2022 - 中宝石红色,闻香青椒味浓郁,红黑果混合的香气,入口感觉有点酒体分离,醒过头了(醒酒器醒了四个小时)单宁颗粒细腻,香气以青椒和红果为主,一些辛辣感,余味果香和烤面包。酒体不重,有些剥离感,没能品出太多东西,如果趁酒体紧致的时候早一点登场就更好了。
August 13, 2021 - A well crafted wine that is drinking well, perhaps a few more years could help it some more. Missing some layers of complexity found in other similarly priced wine, not a great QPR. I recommend giving it some air, we gave it at least an hour besides our initial tasting. On the nose, earth, blackberries, hints of spice. On the palate, nicely structured wine as others have noted. Finish is fairly long. A good wine overall but nothing incredible.
May 10, 2021 - A great pleasure with roundness, power, lots of fruit and earthy notes. Good length. I doubt if time will give more to this gorgeous wine, I do hope so. In that case 94-95 is possible. Much improved compared to 5 years ago.
April 22, 2021 - Way too young and very tight. Deep dark ruby color. Decanted and aerated for 2 hours. Masculine nose of leather, earth, blackberries and cassis, and peppery spice. Powerful on the palate, solid structure but again very tightly wound, finishes long and tannic. To retry in 5 years at least.
