July 29, 2023 - Fully mature with smooth tannins. Cherry and plum with other dark fruits. Vanilla adn perhaps cherry cola. Although I enjoyed the wine, I was thinking perhaps it is on the downhill slide of its life.

April 9, 2022 - Like the 2007 I had a month or two ago, this was very fruit driven and modern in style. Abundant raspberry and cherry fruit on the open transitioning to lighter floral, vanilla, and peppery notes. Presence of oak is still pronounced. And alcohol remains noticeable, but it still had a nice finish with a little more going on than usual. Well made GSM in a new world style.

April 22, 2017 - A bold nose of sweet dark fruits and spices, dark black purple in color. A full bodied GSM blend with currants, raspberry, plum, spice box on long velvet finish, layers of flavor. A fantastic wine, still years of life left. www.winelx.com

April 15, 2017 - (Dinner with H and Kens) Signed by winemaker Matt Trevisan: "Keep your thoughts simple." Ready to drink and starting to fade. Still, however, offers palate-staining joy, with a lusty black- and red-fruit nose and a hammer of blackberries, ripe cherries, dried apricots and nicely integrated wood. Notions of asphalt and wet pavement in the finish. Not sure it will develop any more secondary characteristics. But lovely right now. (= Worth Seeking Out)

December 4, 2016 - Lovely, mature blend of 45% Grenache, 33% Syrah and 22% Mourvedre, with all the elements both integrated and asserting their respective individual personalities - if that makes any sense. Exquisite on the second night.

September 11, 2016 - Rich and extracted as expected from this region. The wine is generous and lovely. The wine has a beautiful finish that lingers long and is simply delicious!

April 22, 2016 - A little concerned about this particular bottle. It could have been corked. We opened another bottle that we had in the cellar and it was much better although definitely ready to drink.

April 18, 2016 - HdR Opening Tasting: Love that name. Ruby/purple in color. Nose of cherries and dark cherries with some floral notes. Very nice. Complex on the palate and drinking very well. No hurry but no point in waiting either. Sweet tannins.

March 9, 2015 - Had a nice elegant, silky texture. Perfume and floral aspect to it that I did not expect. It is not a dense, big-ass Grenache. Nice acidity.

Had over course of two nights. Popped and poured, then re-corked. Was even better second night.

Sad this is my last bottle.
