June 26, 2019 - PnP. Aroma is full of dark berry interlaced with with meat and bacon fat. On the palate is has very good depth and structure with good acidity that doesn’t often come with a wine with this low alcohol. Blackberry meat continues on the palate.

November 23, 2018 - Dark purple color with a violet rim. Expressive nose of dark cherry, plum, floral elements, and toasty oak. The palate was tart with plum skin, dark cherry, earth, and abundant, toasty oak. This medium-bodied wine has vibrant acidity and some tannin on the finish. Overall, this was expressive on the nose but displayed more oak and tart fruit in this bottle. It paired quite well with beef stew as well as Thanksgiving turkey.

August 27, 2018 - Quite aromatic—berry fruit. Not terribly fruit forward—some cherry, raspberry. Tannin is only barely noticeable. Somewhat tart. Not particularly full-bodied. Pretty easy to drink,

NOSE: young, inky Syrah; light oak; light stems; pepper; medium expressiveness after one hour open.

BODY: lots of fine particulate matter; some sediment in bottle; black-violet color of great depth; medium to medium-full bodied.

TASTE: good acidity – medium+; purple fruited; light oak; tastes quite young; alc. well-hidden; ripe fruit flavors; not funky; not tannic; Drink Now – 2023.
