November 11, 2023 - Had this from Coravin earlier in March or so, and finished the rest of the bottle in November. It was equally great both times. The best Cabernet I've had from WA in years. For what it's worth, I believe it would appeal to Napa Cab fans, too. If I'd had this blind, I might have even guessed Napa-- and I mean that in a good way. Complex, delicious, enjoyable now, and not yet fading.
August 12, 2023 - You must decant this wine for at least two hours. Once it has been exposed to sufficient air, it takes on a lot of the classic characteristics of Cabernet, and in someways seems closer to a California representation and a Washington state one. Dark fruit, tobacco, long finish, silky.
August 5, 2023 - Bright crimson in color. 14.6% ABV. Spellbinding nose of black and blue fruits, Whitman Sampler box, graphite and violets. Full bodied with power and concentration in spades. Blueberries, creme de cassis, chocolate and a hint of tobacco on the palate. Sensational Cabernet Sauvignon that feels like it is at its peak right now but there is certainly no rush here. Best over the next 2-4 years.
April 21, 2023 - This is one of the most delicious Washington Cabs I have had the great pleasure of drinking. The wine was excellent on opening except for a strong tannin finish. As it opened, that was balanced by excellent fruit and complexity of great C.S. Drunk with an excellent lamb chop dinner it was exactly the right choice. We have a bit more and expect it will continue to be wonderful for several more years, but do not forget you have it!
April 7, 2023 - Very Corked and Pissed!
December 18, 2022 - Decanted >2 hours. Beautiful Cab Sauv nose with dark black fruit, spice and earth. In the mouth, a lot of plum in the first few tastes. The wine was better with a grilled ribeye and exhibited typical cab notes. The wine is drinking nicely and this got better as the night went on.
October 9, 2022 - Still really good. In a great place
August 13, 2022 - I am struck by the intensity of both the flavors and aromas on this.
Blueberries, blackberries, black cherries, coffee grounds, dust, cocoa powder, Mexican chocolate and tomato leaf. Just a tad "green". Tobacco and vanilla from the oak. Full bodied with medium tannin. Beautiful depth of flavor here.
June 27, 2022 - On open bit grapey and alcoholy. Decanted for hour plus. grape and alcohol blew off. Still very tight. Cocoa and dark fruits.
February 6, 2022 - Decanted briefly. This is a fantastic, bold, full-bodied, mature Washington Cab with dreamy black and blue fruit, chewy tannins, herbs and wildflowers. Showing so well now!
