June 23, 2018 - Excellent sweet fruit, drink

December 17, 2013 - Opened for my birthday. Garnet with red brick rim. Nose is developed with stewed raspberries & strawberries, followed by sous bois & earthy tones as well as tobacco and a meaty brothy aroma. This is past its peak but still drinkable even if the fruit is faded. Medium - body, now faded tannins but bright medium + acidity. A balance of fruit and savoury brothy tastes on the palate.

    May 13, 2009 - Tasted at LIWF 2009

Faded burnt orange/ruby hue; Farmyard. gamey aromas with dried fruits on nose; Sweet entry on palate - smooth tannins, good grip. Needs drinking.

September 23, 2008 - Orange on the rim delivered a llight earthy nose. This was smoother than Jesus in velvet pants! Was it the best? Of course not. However, it's prime time for this wine and made for a perfect match to pork tenderloin with an apple/dijon glaze. For a new dude into Bergs, this was a real treat. Many thanks to my buddy Tom who gave this sucker to me. My fiancee even liked it too...
I look forward to more light bodied French Pinot's... Drink up should you own this...

November 24, 2006 - Absolutely classic Beaune, drinking great now. Classic. Southern rather than northern Beaune. Touch of animale. Subtle. Clean, correct, well made wine.
