November 1, 2014 - Chateau Mercian håller provning med Norditalienare (La Verdura, Yokohama): Serverades först i champagneglas (!) 87p.
Svartröd.
Pga glasen: Liten doft.
Stor smak med tydliga drag av choklad, mörka frukter, alkoholhetta. Viss längd, men ingenting imponerande.
Samma vin i RIKTIGT glas: 89p
Glaset gör skillnad
Nosen: Rika, mörka aromer med choklad i drivor.
Palaten: Rik uppbyggnad som startar redan med vinets spännande entré. Mittgommen har en mycket stark närvaro. Intensiteten i vinet ramlar nästan utför ett stup då man svalt, men efter ett litet tag träder så äntligen fram blyga doser av läder, tobak och våta teblad.
Ett ungt vin med framtiden för sig. Bara den lite bullriga frukten lugnar ned sig, så kan detta bli riktigt bra! -

June 4, 2011 - I normally don’t agree with with amarone but this was good, it was a balanced amarone, lots of raisons, chocolate, nuts and some raw meat.. Balanced but not nuanced..
