February 16, 2023 - Has thrown a lot of sediment to the side of the bottle. Acid minus and oak plus with fair structure and average focus of flavors.

February 17, 2017 - Drinking really well now, and quite powerful. You've got to be a fan of the herbal and red bell pepper notes which are not subtle. I have a much higher tolerance for this than I do for green pepper, and I think this wine is great.

October 13, 2016 - I haven't opened a bottle of this wine in 3 years (see 9/11/13 note). Well, it is sooo much better with a little bottle age. This wine still has some subtle herbal notes, but these have faded and lost their harsh edge. This wine is soft, round, and silky with plum, blackberry, vanilla and licorice. Excellent length. Very good balance. Soft tannins.

April 22, 2014 - This is a pleasant, big, earthy wine. The dark fruit has a good strong presence. This might not be a complex wine but it is quite tasty and has a good long finish.

April 19, 2014 - Stewed blackberry and black currant aromas from the cork. Medium+ aromas of black currant, black cherry, and earth with hints of stewed black fruits and barnyard. Medium+ bodied with refined tannins that are silky smooth, yet drying. Nice black currant/blackberry sweet ripe fruits, oak spice, and earthy flavours. Good acids, rush of spice and hints of purple fruits on the slightly warm, and lengthy finish. Could be aged another 2 years, but drinking great now.
