January 18, 2024 - There are such wines that we can write several hundred sentences about their character. We can mention many aromas, many flavors and other things, but we will not be able to describe the soul of such a wine and this wine belongs to this category. But since I have the pleasure and even the honor of belonging to this prestigious society of wine drinkers, I must mention this and that and even more.
First of all - the wine is "loaded" with 14.5 ABV. Not a common number in Bordeaux.
Aromas - nice, but somehow subdued.
Earth, dust( nice), black coffee, black chocolate, tobacco, leather, herbs.
Fruits? I'm not so sure. Blackberry? Blueberry?
The smell is stuffy and thick like in an opium café.
    Taste? Vive La France!
    Vive La Merlot!
10 000 pounds of coffee. Black chocolate too.
    Vanilla, herbs, blackberry.
    It's quite simple, isn't it?
Well maybe, but it has a soul and an incredibly long, bittersweet finish.
2 minutes? I'm too lazy to measure it with a stoper.
2010 got 94 points according to the WA Vintage Guide
Outstanding. Still tannic, youthful or slow to mature.
    How about the wine?
    Vinous - 93
    WS - 92
    RP - 92
    Jeff Leve - 90
    Just for a record.
This Chateau got Cru Classé in 2012.
In 2010 was just Grand Cru

Fun is fun, so I was tempted to measure the duration of the finish of this wine. The test was done while drinking the third glass. First, I gargled with mineral water and took a few sips to completely rinse the wine residue from my mouth. Then, as I swallowed a large gulp, I started the timer. During the test, I moved my tongue and swallowed saliva. The result was 1:57.89
    Cool 😎

December 4, 2020 - Not my style. Very acidic/tangy. Even after 2 days, still tangy.
