  July 12, 2021 - One of those back of the cellar finds - didn’t expect much TBH at this age. Actually it was quite lovely. Mature oak notes, rich dark fruit, reasonable acidity. A little trouble against tagliatelle and meatballs, but otherwise a great experience.

  November 12, 2017 - Dark fruit notes on the nose. On the palate it had notes of chalky, cocoa powder and coffee beans. The wine was lacking on the mid palate as it was lacking structure. Short finish. The wine was better with 1.5 hours + of being decanted. I feel the average rating to be very accurate. Maybe the wine was better when younger?

  January 25, 2015 - Tasted spoofy to me, all new oak and sweet syrup. No structure to speak of.

  October 19, 2014 - My previous note mentioned 'oakiness,' but I didn't find it in this last bottle (2 years later). A clean, fruit-driven wine with an almost black robe and lovely cherry, raspberry, and plum notes. Lighter than a southern Rhone; has some nice minerality, too.
