March 31, 2024 - Nicely evolving. Tannins have softened, nice acidity. Bit of alcohol on finish. I guess drink through 29 is about right.
March 18, 2024 - PnP: What a full bodied, hedonistic wine! In 2022 I had one of my 2009, and it was tannic and not really much enjoyable. So this 2010 came as a positive surprise, and I could become addicted.
December 23, 2017 - 6 hour decant and this is really drinking well. My guess is peak in 3-5 years and should drink well for 10 years.
May 7, 2017 - A wine that makes you happy! Plums, sweet berries, chocolate and leather, very drinkable right now.
December 30, 2016 - Still too young.
September 25, 2016 - Very noble, great concentration with complexity of red fruit including strawberries. Excellent balance, although it has some hints of an already ageing wine. Where is the bouquet?
November 29, 2015 - the elements are coming together
November 1, 2015 - This was my third bottle. Paid $48.95. First 2 bottles were excellent (96 rating) This bottle was closed. By the end of a steak meal, it was opening up. That was almost 4 hours. I would buy more.
November 1, 2015 - Nose: Harmonious and complex. Herbs, raspberries, cherries, leather. Mouth: Consistent with the nose. Finish a bit too watery. Aromas are a bit lame and the finish a tad too bitter. Very good with braised meat in a dark sauce with peppers and carrots.
The half empty bottle after having spent a night in the fridge has become better hence 2 points up. The aroma is leaning towards strawberries this time.
April 19, 2015 - MW Institute 2010 Bordeaux Tasting (Sydney, Australia): Cherry, chocolate and blueberry. Palate is fruit driven with a fair bit of berry sweetness within its profile. A showy wine at the moment but it should calm down with time.
